About The Position

Join a friendly and collaborative team, working alongside multiple employees to provide superior patient care in a physician practice. Brooks Physician Practice is a multi discipline outpatient facility.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
EMR experience
Customer service experience
Insurance knowledge

Nice To Haves

Previous physician office experience is preferred
Medical terminology knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
Answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
Greet vendors and accept deliveries.
Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Collects and posts charges and payments according to protocols, prepares and balances daily financial registers.
Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Verifying patient insurance eligibility.
Submit outgoing referrals/orders submitted by physicians.
Monitor and triage incoming faxes
Be prompt, reliable, and dependable
Excellent Customer Service
Able to be flexible and adaptable
Have proper phone etiquette.
Able to multitask within the office.
Performs other related duties as assigned
