About The Position

You are a self-starter who can think on your feet. You’re a go-getter who loves multi-tasking and has experience supporting people in recovery from substance use disorder. You are invested in recovery and believe in the power of community. You care about helping to reduce stigmas about living sober. If this sounds like you, keep reading. The scope of this contract position includes fulfilling front desk shifts, completing daily facility tasks, maintaining building cleanliness, and supporting member relations. The Phoenix's mission is to build a sober active community that fuels resilience and harnesses the transformational power of connection so that together we rise, recover, and live. Through activities such as CrossFit, book clubs, rock climbing, art socials, yoga, and meditation, participants build confidence, self-respect, and community. The Phoenix offers free programs, both in person and online, for anyone with 48 hours of sobriety. Since 2006, we have served hundreds of thousands of individuals with the help of thousands of volunteers across the country. Requirements

  • Previous experience in a fitness center
  • Familiarity with small equipment operation (Zamboni)
  • Customer service background
  • Willingness to provide flexible contract hours

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill front desk shifts
  • Complete shift checklists
  • Ensure bathroom and gym floor cleanliness
  • Ensure equipment functionality
  • Manage small projects within the scope of the gym
  • Follow building security protocols
  • Support member safety and satisfaction
