The Front Desk Clerk at Pinehurst is responsible for providing efficient and friendly check-in and check-out services for guests. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of hospitality that Pinehurst is known for, ensuring a positive experience for all guests while handling various administrative tasks related to guest services.

  • Efficiently and accurately checks in/out guests through face to face verbal and written communications and computer.
  • Resolves guests' complaints and problems in a positive, caring and friendly manner.
  • Maintains appropriate records accurately.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of package plans and special promotions; understand breakdown of packages and applicable charges and taxes.
  • Act as cashier for guests; obtain bank; count and verify contents and audit.
  • Direct guests to all resort facilities including golf courses and accommodations.
  • Understand all aspects of the resume book including group dates and billing instructions.
  • Understand posting of all charges.
  • Answer telephone using guest name and transfer calls to other departments.
  • Know hours of operation of all outlets and facilities.
  • Know daily resort availability, due outs and arrivals.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
  • Ensure interaction with guests is professional and ethical at all times.
  • Report any attempts by outside vendors to solicit through the Front Desk immediately.
  • Secure the bank and ensure it is not left unattended or open for unauthorized access.
  • Accurately count cash received and disbursed and make accurate change when needed.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 6 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
