Explore. in the gateway to Glacier National Park! Job Summary: Maintaining positive guest relations and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations, handling payments, and addressing guest inquiries and complaints. Additionally, the agent must possess comprehensive knowledge of park facilities and activities, adhere to cash handling and PCI compliance guidelines, and assist with retail sales and group tour operations. Overall, the position emphasizes exceptional customer service and efficient front office management The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: late-April through late-September 2026 Pay: $16.65/hr Schedule: Typical schedule is 30-40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Housing: Employee housing is not available About Columbia Falls: Just west of Glacier National Park lies a collection of communities who proudly welcome millions of visitors each year to the Glacier Gateway area. Columbia Falls - a lively Montana town with many locally owned shops, restaurants, breweries, and summer farmers markets - is the ideal home base for exploring Glacier National Park and the 2.4 million acres in Flathead National Forest.

Requirements

Strong communication and people skills. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
General computer skills and knowledge of common office machines, i.e., computers, typewriters, calculators, cash registers, etc. required.
Basic Sales and Accounting skills.
Ability to learn quickly and follow instruction accurately.
Ability to prioritize tasks and move through them in an efficient manner.
Ability to interact with diverse peoples and help resolve any issues.
Ability to work quickly and thoroughly under pressure.
Must be flexible and open to changes in procedures.
Must be friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic and courteous in dealing with guests and co-workers.
Must be able to handle guest concerns in a tactful and caring manner.
Must be team-oriented.
Must possess neat and pleasant grooming habits.
Must be knowledgeable of Glacier National Park’s history and points of interest.
Must have good organizational skills.
Able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
Standing for up to eight hours per shift.
Requires bending, stretching and reaching throughout a shift, up to 8 hours.
Working with required chemicals.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Property Management System (PMS) Opera preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain positive guest relations at all times
Answer questions and provide accurate information about area facilities, activities, and attractions
Handle guest problems and complaints, resolving issues to guest satisfaction
Educate guests on company environmental policies
Register guests, assign rooms, and issue keys securely
Make, confirm, and cancel reservations
Handle all aspects of group tour arrivals and check-ins
Prepare guest folios and statements for checkout
Process payments and balance receipts/transactions at end of shift
Answer phones promptly using proper etiquette
Take accurate messages and relay information
Coordinate wake-up calls and handle guest mail
Operate PBX switchboard for calls
Maintain up-to-date guest room lists
Follow cash handling procedures and secure bank
Post charges to guest accounts
Reconcile transactions and verify daily drop amounts
Understand and follow PCI compliance guidelines
Assist with retail sales where applicable
Handle lost and found items according to procedures
Follow emergency and safety protocols
Maintain clean and organized workspace
Assist other departments as needed
