About The Position

This position acts as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and guests. Being the prime interface between the hotel services, he or she will check in guests, provide information regarding the Riley Center, and answer questions of visitors. He or she will answer the phone for the Riley Center and transfer clients to proper departments within the Riley Center. He or she welcomes all visitors with a servants attitude. Applicants should have a flexible schedule being able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years experience preferred, but not required
  • Successful completion of background check, MVR, and credit check may be required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit customer service skills and ensure considerate interactions with guests, staff, and other SWBTS departments
  • Exhibit a humble, patient, and collaborative spirit creating a healthy and vibrant work culture for the staff team
  • Possess a strong work ethic and initiative
  • Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and be a team player

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Cloudbeds software, preferred
  • Hotel front desk experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Interact with the guests by phone, in person, and by email to handle requests for accommodations
  • Check the availability of accommodations and assigning rooms
  • Collect detailed information while guests are registering
  • Issue accommodation keys to guests
  • Provide accurate billing information
  • Settle guest payments at the time of check in.
  • Provide support to administrative team for audits, billing, and reconciliation.
  • Work with events team for hotel groups, blocks, and billing.
  • Welcome all visitors of the Riley Center and provide information regarding room locations, conference information, and SWBTS campus information
  • Act as a liaison between the Riley Center General Manager, housekeeping, and other employees and the guest regarding requests
  • Provide organization to the Front Desk area regarding records, guest information, and process for ease of access and reference
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and specific to area of responsibility.
