About The Position

The Front Desk Overnight Shift at Zion Lodge plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk during the overnight shift. This position combines front desk responsibilities with additional scanning and filing duties and provides excellent customer service to guests during their stay.

Requirements

  • Able to work and thrive in Zion National Park.
  • Ability to get along well with people, be honest, punctual, and reliable.
  • Ability to remain calm and friendly.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work conditions.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or accounting is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a front desk or accounting role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
  • Proficient in computer systems and software; experience with hotel management systems and accounting software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with check-ins and check-outs during the night shift.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Provide information about lodge amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Manage incoming reservations and maintain the hotel management system, ensuring accuracy and availability for the following day.
  • Handle phone inquiries and assist guests with booking reservations.
  • Ensure that all front desk paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain organized records and files related to guest accounts and financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness and address any guest issues.
  • Communicate any relevant information or incidents to the management team during shift changes.
  • Functions as an ambassador of Destination Zion Lodge, modeling and sharing the Zion “culture” with our guests and employees.
  • Upholds the most professional image.
  • Continually strives to exceed our guest’s expectations and create memories for our guests and staff.
