Front Desk Agent (Overnight)
About The Position
As a Front Desk Agent at Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park, you will be responsible for creating a memorable experience for guests from their arrival to departure. This role involves providing exceptional service, greeting guests, checking them in, responding to requests, and settling accounts, all while upholding the hotel's service standards. The position requires taking initiative to personalize guest experiences and promoting hotel facilities to enhance their stay. Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park is part of the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts network, known for its luxury properties worldwide, and is a leader in Food & Beverage in Chicago, featuring a newly launched pan Latin restaurant and tequila bar, Toro, and offering beautifully appointed guestrooms and luxury event space.
Requirements
- Service focused personality is essential
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays.
- Computer literacy a must
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- A passion for Guest Service and a skill for anticipating guest needs
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
- Fluency in English
Nice To Haves
- Previous Front Desk experience is preferred
- Opera experience an asset
- Additional languages are a plus
Responsibilities
- Greet, check-in, respond to requests and settle accounts while providing exceptional service and ensuring all service standards are followed.
- Take initiative to add a personalized experience.
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.
- Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.
- Follow all safety policies.
- Proudly promote the hotel facilities, looking for opportunities to enhance a guest’s stay through up-selling.
- Other duties as assigned.
