Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Proficient in using moderately complex computer systems to access and input information.
  • General knowledge of local attractions and transportation options.
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and team members with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to observe and respond to emergency situations.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Regular attendance is essential, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • This position requires standing for long periods (75%+ of the time) and some lifting may be required.
  • Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

  • Previous hotel front desk experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests with their arrival and departure, ensuring a positive and memorable experience throughout their stay.
  • Complete the registration process by efficiently inputting and retrieving information from our computer system, confirming guest details, including room rates and special requests.
  • Work closely with other hotel departments to provide a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
  • Relay pertinent guest information to designated departments (e.g., special requests, amenity delivery) to ensure all needs are met.
  • Provide guests with information about the hotel, local attractions, and our range of upscale amenities and services.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all guest and hotel information.
  • Ensure the security of guest room access and document all guest requests, complaints, or issues promptly for resolution.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, processing guest accounts during checkout with efficiency.
  • Manage guest inquiries and complaints promptly, following up to maintain high levels of satisfaction. In cases of dissatisfaction, negotiate compromises following our “Make it Right” guidelines.
  • Generate, print, and distribute daily and weekly reports, and resolve discrepancies with the Housekeeping department.
  • Follow proper hotel safety policies and procedures, reporting all accidents and injuries promptly.
  • Ensure your work area is clean and free of obstructions to perform your duties safely and effectively.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
