About The Position

The Front Desk Agent position at Destination Zion Lodge involves greeting guests upon arrival, assisting with the check-in process, and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience. The role includes handling guest check-outs, processing payments, managing reservations, and providing exceptional customer service. The agent will also offer local information, recommend activities, and assist guests with planning their stay. The position requires effective communication with housekeeping and maintenance teams, performing general administrative tasks, and preparing daily reports. The job is located in a historic lodge within Zion National Park, which is open every day, requiring flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer systems and software; experience with hotel management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work conditions.

  • Experience in hospitality or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and assist with the check-in process.
  • Handle guest check-outs, process payments, and provide accurate billing information.
  • Manage reservations through the hotel management system.
  • Handle phone inquiries and assist guests with booking reservations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Offer local information and assist guests with planning their stay.
  • Maintain effective communication with housekeeping and maintenance teams.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide seamless service.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing and data entry.
  • Prepare daily reports and assist with cash handling.
