About The Position

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by greeting and registering guests, managing reservations, and handling guest inquiries. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive experience for guests during their stay, while also maximizing room revenue and occupancy rates.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and problem-solve effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to convey information clearly.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk in a friendly manner.
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard and ensure performance standards are met.
  • Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments.
  • Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions, and assist in emergency procedures as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and overall cleanliness throughout the hotel.
  • Deliver guest items such as luggage, newspapers, and packages as requested.
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality policies and standards to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
