About The Position

As a Front Desk Agent at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fisherman's Wharf, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a memorable experience. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a front desk or guest service position.
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests effectively.
• Problem-solving skills to turn issues into opportunities.
• Fluency in the local language; additional language skills are a plus.
• Basic literacy and tech-savviness, including reading, writing, and basic math skills.
• Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50lbs (23 kg), involving bending and kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone.
• Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities and informing them about ways to improve their stay.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Check guests in and out swiftly, taking IDs, handing out room keys, and controlling safety deposit boxes.
• Record and act on guests' preferences, and handle their messages, requests, questions, and concerns.
• Serve as a trusted contact for all guests, assisting with bill issues and local knowledge.
• Report all incidents and wear any protective gear needed to ensure safety.
• Maintain a professional appearance and act as a brand ambassador.
• Stay informed about events and activities scheduled for the day.
• Assist colleagues with ad-hoc duties as needed.
