Job Purpose: The Front Counter Sales clerk will provide a meaningful customer experience in a prompt and professional manner- exhibiting knowledge of our products and pairing the customer with the correct product.

Requirements

• At least 2 years in a customer-facing environment (retail, hardware stores, etc.)
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Must have the ability to successfully alone under limited supervision or as part of a group
• Must be able to work rotating Saturdays as needed
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical

Responsibilities

• Handle counter transactions of in-store goods
• Handling pre-payments for special order items that are not readily available on sales floor
• Stocking shelves when needed
• Making sure quotes are completed for special order items and ensuring order acknowledgement has been sent to and received by purchasing
• Answering phones calls and emails to engage with customers and resolve any issues that may be presented
• Problem solving to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy
• Perform other duties as assigned
