About The Position

As a Phone Receptionist at our hotel, you will serve as the first point of contact for our guests, embodying the welcoming spirit of our establishment. This role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and ensuring that guests feel valued and attended to. You will work in a dynamic and fun team environment, where building lasting relationships with both coworkers and guests is encouraged. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require working in shifts to accommodate the hotel's operational needs. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting customers with a friendly demeanor, utilizing a positive and clear speaking voice to communicate effectively. You will be responsible for answering the hotel switchboard, transferring calls to guest rooms or other hotel facilities as requested, and managing telephone-related requests from groups. Additionally, you will receive and relay messages to hotel guests and departments, ensuring that all guest requests are communicated to the appropriate personnel to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. In emergency situations, you will be expected to handle procedures such as contacting the fire department, paramedics, or police, and promptly alert hotel management through all communication channels when emergencies arise. Your role will also involve using various office software accurately and assisting with various office tasks as needed. You will be required to attend meetings and contribute to discussions that enhance the operational efficiency of the front office. Personal effectiveness is key in this role; you will be expected to complete projects and assignments thoroughly and professionally, adapting to high-pressure conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. You will also be responsible for your personal growth and development, conducting yourself in a professional manner at all times, and setting a standard for your peers. Communication is vital, as you will need to understand and convey the hotel's mission and core values, express ideas clearly, and actively listen to others to foster a collaborative work environment.
