About The Position

Freshman Girls’ Volleyball Coach Position Type: Supplemental Reports to: Athletic Director Qualifications: Experience in the designated sport Must meet all coaching requirements as specified by the Board of Education and OHSAA, including acquiring a pupil activity permit and CPR certification Prior coaching experience preferred Van certification preferred Essential Job Functions: Supervise and instruct the girls’ Freshman Volleyball team consisting of approximately 10-15 student-athletes as head coach and assistant the coaches for the JV/Varsity team Conduct regular practices for team in conjunction with the head coach Coach student-athletes in a positive manner. Ensure the safety of all student-athletes during practices and competitions. Work with the head coach to develop practice and training plans for athletes with differing ability levels. Coaching will require six days per week including practices and meets. 15-20 hours per week is a typical time commitment for the coach. Supervise and travel with the team to all contests. Assist with distribution and collection of uniforms. May perform other duties as directed by the head coach Working Conditions Potential exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissue Exposure to potentially dangerous and violent situations Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather Regular requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see and read Regular requirement to lift equipment, up to 50 pounds Grandview Heights Schools is an equal opportunity employer in all areas of employment and promotion.
