About The Position

The Maintenance Generalist MG01 position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordinating the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must have previous general maintenance experience or equivalent school training documented in work history and/or resume.
• Must have a valid State Driver's License.
• Must be able to perform physical duties which require a lot of bending, crawling, twisting, standing, and walking.
• Must be able to work long hours and on weekends if needed.
• Must be able to work in extreme conditions of heat, humidity, and cold.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform all maintenance needed on equipment to ensure little or no downtime.
• Have knowledge of electrical motors, repairs, installation, and wiring.
• Meet OSHA safety standards and read blueprints and schematics.
• Work other shifts as needed.
• Learn all phases of the plant's operations.
• Attend Tyson training classes.
• Assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and designing of equipment and parts.
• Work with small and fragile devices.
• Use all forms of welding techniques.
• Take appropriate actions if foreign material is found in the process.
• Perform paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Rotate to other departments if needed.
• Work Saturday and Sunday if needed.
• Comply with all other requests from supervisor.
