About The Position

The Fresh Pack Coordinator is responsible for ensuring efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to 'Run the Best Store in Town'. This role involves maintaining a positive attitude and creating an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. The coordinator will assist the produce manager in ordering, receiving, and displaying all products for processing, as well as ensuring all food safety policies and procedures are followed. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining cut vegetable and cut fruit sections, trimming corn, packaging salad tomatoes, and maintaining the quality and freshness of all fresh pack products. The coordinator will also assist in training fresh pack associates and ensure compliance with the company food safety program.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to interact with various levels of individuals daily.
  • Ability to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and create a friendly atmosphere.
  • Assist produce manager in ordering, receiving, and displaying products.
  • Rotate merchandise to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Set up and maintain cut vegetable and cut fruit sections.
  • Trim corn and package salad tomatoes as directed.
  • Ensure all food safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Order supplies as directed by the Produce Manager.
  • Assist and coordinate the training of fresh pack associates.
  • Maintain quality and freshness of all fresh pack products.
  • Ensure all items requiring a COOL label are maintained daily.
  • Enforce and maintain the company food safety program.
  • Trim and package fresh produce.
  • Keep workstation and surrounding area neat and clean.
  • Sanitize and clean the department at least twice a day.
  • Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.
