The Fresh Manager leads and manages Fresh department operations (Produce & Floral, Meat & Seafood, Deli & Bakery) and associates to execute company best practices to maximize sales and profitability. The Fresh Manager increases customer confidence and loyalty by promoting clean, compliant, and consistent operating conditions, providing courteous and prompt service, and developing associates through proper training. This is a working manager position that requires a balance of physical labor, delegation, team building, leadership, planning, and administrative work.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
• 3 - 6 years of supervisory experience required.
• Proficient with computer applications used in effectively operating the store.
• Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Possession of Food Safety Certification or the ability to obtain it within 180 days of placement.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Leads and empowers teams to deliver a great shopping experience for customers in alignment with the company's vision, goals, expectations, and policies.
• Manages in-stock conditions, inventory, shrink, and expenses including labor and supply management.
• Delegates authority, responsibility, and accountability to department managers and creates a coordinated, motivated management team.
• Supports the hiring and training execution in the fresh departments.
• Adheres to all regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to food safety and executes all product recalls and withdrawals in a timely manner.
