About The Position
As a Fresh Foods Clerk at WinCo Foods, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety. Your primary responsibility will be to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated. You will engage with customers by taking orders, answering questions, and performing suggestive selling to enhance their shopping experience. Your role will also involve preparing, stocking, and displaying fresh food items, ensuring that all products are rotated and presented attractively in the fresh food cases. In addition to customer interaction, you will be responsible for preparing production items according to established recipes and food safety procedures. This includes handling frozen products and inspecting all items for quality and freshness. You will prepare cases by organizing products in fresh pans, rotating stock, and ensuring proper signage is displayed, including pricing and product information. Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment is crucial, and you will be expected to clean and maintain department equipment, including fryers and slicers, as well as the overall cleanliness of the department. Receiving inventory, verifying product orders, and following strict sanitary guidelines are essential tasks that you will perform regularly. You will also be required to complete training courses and meet productivity and accuracy standards. This position requires you to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a 24/7 operation, ensuring that you are available to meet the needs of our customers at all times.
