The Fresh Food Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing the procurement, quality control, and distribution of fresh food products within the wholesale trade industry. This position ensures that all fresh food items meet stringent quality standards and comply with safety regulations, thereby maintaining customer satisfaction and brand reputation. The coordinator collaborates closely with the Production Manager. By monitoring run data and daily, weekly reports, the Fresh Food Coordinator is responsible for sustaining a reliable and efficient fresh food supply that supports the company’s business objectives and growth.

  • Create daily work orders using internal Visual Produce software
  • Close daily work orders using internal Visual Produce software
  • Assist employees with data entry at the workstation
  • Work closely with related departments needing item completion forms
  • Work closely with various workstations collecting run rate data
  • Train line leads on proper documentation of daily production paperwork
  • Follow all company and industry-specific safety protocols
  • Maintain a workplace that is clean and safe
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure proper handling, storage, and timely distribution of fresh food products
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier performance, product quality, and inventory data to support reporting and continuous improvement
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in supply chain management, food science, or a related field is preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in fresh food coordination, procurement, or inventory management within the wholesale or food distribution industry
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulatory requirements relevant to fresh food products
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
