About The Position
The Acalanes Union High School District is located in the beautiful hills of Contra Costa County approximately 20 miles east of San Francisco serving with suburban, family-oriented communities of Canyon, Moraga, Lafayette, Orinda, and Walnut Creek. We serve students in grades 9-12 and have an extensive adult education program. The area is ethnically, culturally and politically diverse with each of our four communities having a strong local identity that fosters positive interactions among adults and students. The District is committed to preparing students to become productive participants in a diverse, multicultural, democratic society. We demonstrate high expectations for all students and ensure warm, supportive atmospheres in our classrooms. Our staff has a deep commitment to equity in our practices, curriculum and school climates.
