About The Position

The French Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Director is responsible for overseeing and supporting French DLI schools within the Park City School District and across the state of Utah. This role involves collaboration with various educational teams to ensure the effective implementation of the Utah DLI Model, providing coaching and professional development, and facilitating community outreach efforts. The position requires a strong background in dual language immersion pedagogy and proficiency in both French and English.

Requirements

• Master's degree required.
• Valid Utah teaching license.
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge of the Utah DLI Model.
• Demonstrated expertise in dual language immersion pedagogy.
• Advanced High or Superior French language proficiency.
• Strong communication skills in both English and French.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction and assessment in French DLI schools.
• Facilitate instructional materials and resources for DLI programs.
• Provide coaching and professional development for educators.
• Inform policy related to dual language immersion education.
• Support international teachers in their transition to Utah.
• Enhance community outreach efforts, including university grants and collaboration with the French Consulate.
• Serve as a liaison between the DLI District Team and schools and the State DLI Team.
• Collaborate with the State DLI Team to implement the Utah DLI Model in schools across the state.
• Work closely with the Park City School District DLI Team to support the District's DLI schools.
