Job Description This role has multiple levels, open to candidates with a minimum of 7 years of relationship management experience. The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience. Please note that the salary range provided corresponds to the lowest level of the position posted. The Freight Relationship Manager is responsible for leading and strengthening client relationships within the assigned business segment and/or geographic region. Working directly and through Account Representatives, this role drives growth by acquiring new business, expanding existing relationships, and optimizing portfolio performance. The ideal candidate combines strategic relationship management with consultative sales expertise to deliver exceptional value to clients and the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Seven to ten years of relationship management experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership at assigned clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Manage non-credit risk across the customer portfolio to maintain compliance and mitigate exposure.
  • Prospect and secure new business opportunities to increase spend volume and revenue.
  • Expand existing customer relationships through cross-selling and upselling of bank products and services.
  • Monitor profitability and implement strategies to enhance financial performance.
  • Provide tailored, consultative advice to clients to support their business objectives.
  • Identify client needs and deliver solutions across all product groups.
  • Make appropriate referrals to internal partners for specialized services.
  • Drive growth through program optimization initiatives and strategic planning.
  • Analyze portfolio performance and recommend improvements to maximize results.
