About The Position

As a Freight Inspector, you will act as an independent contractor conducting on-site inspections at freight terminals, warehouses, and service centers. Your role is crucial in documenting and reporting damaged freight, ensuring accurate and fair claims resolution across the logistics industry. Requirements

• Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel locally
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed during inspections
• Ownership of a smartphone with camera
• Ownership of a computer and printer
• High-speed internet access
• Availability during regular business hours (Monday–Friday)
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently

Responsibilities

• Travel locally (within ~15 miles) to conduct on-site freight inspections
• Evaluate shipments and document freight damage or packaging issues
• Capture high-quality photos and detailed notes of inspected goods
• Submit accurate inspection reports using the proprietary online templates
• Ensure reports are completed and submitted within 3 business days
• Maintain professionalism and reliability when representing the company to clients
