About The Position

The Freight Flow Associate at Sam's Club is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement and organization of merchandise within the facility. This includes safely operating forklifts, receiving, stocking, and organizing goods from distribution centers and suppliers, and managing inventory flow to maintain in-stock levels and control shrinkage. The role also involves maintaining the sales floor and merchandising presentation, assisting with club pick-up orders, and providing excellent member service by helping with technology services and purchasing decisions. A key aspect of the position is upholding safety standards, identifying and resolving issues related to products, services, and equipment, and reporting unsafe conditions. The associate is expected to embody Walmart's core values, including respecting individuals, acting with integrity, serving customers and members, and striving for excellence, contributing to a positive work environment and the company's goal of becoming a regenerative company.

Requirements

90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Operates forklift following Company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
Receives, stocks, and organizes merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility.
Provides member service by acknowledging the member, identifying member needs, providing guidance and support regarding self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products/services.
Maintains safety of facility according to company policies and procedures.
Maintains the sales floor and merchandising presentation.
Ensures club pick-up orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging orders.
Handles, moves, and displays goods in safe and correct ways.
Tracks goods, maintains in-stock levels, and controls shrinkage.
Reports poor inventory practices and low in-stock levels in assigned area.
Uses inventory tools and equipment in safe and correct ways.
Operates and maintains forklifts in safe and correct ways.
Reports poor or unsafe conditions or practices in assigned areas.
Informs Management when forklifts are not in proper working order.
Proactively identifies Customers who need help and assists them with Technology services and items.
Models and helps others with technology services.
Identifies shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas and takes steps to fix the problem.
Properly maintains equipment and ensures products are organized and stocked in correct ways and promptly fixes any problems.
