About The Position

This role involves managing the flow of freight within a Sam's Club facility. Key responsibilities include operating forklifts safely to move and position merchandise, receiving, stocking, and organizing goods from distribution centers and suppliers, and maintaining inventory levels. The associate is also responsible for providing member service, ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the facility, and maintaining merchandising presentation on the sales floor. Additionally, the role includes assisting with club pick-up orders, tracking inventory, and using technology to assist customers and identify shrink opportunities. The position emphasizes compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and a commitment to customer service and teamwork.

Requirements

• 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
• Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Operates forklift safely to pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets.
• Completes work assignments and priorities, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners.
• Receives, stocks, and organizes merchandise and supplies, managing inventory flow and correcting shelf capacities.
• Provides member service, including guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing, locating merchandise, and resolving issues.
• Maintains facility safety, including conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, and handling hazardous materials.
• Maintains sales floor and merchandising presentation, including stocking, rotating, removing damaged goods, and organizing displays.
• Ensures club pick-up orders are filled, picked, and staged accurately.
• Handles, moves, and displays goods safely, tracks inventory, maintains in-stock levels, controls shrinkage, and reports poor inventory practices.
• Operates and maintains forklifts safely, reporting unsafe conditions or malfunctions.
• Assists customers with technology services, identifies and resolves shrink opportunities and problems, and maintains equipment.
