About the position
KCH Transportation is seeking a detail-oriented Freight Audit and Automation Intern to join our Billing Department in Chattanooga, TN. This in-office internship offers hands-on experience with our Navix system, supporting the financial accuracy and efficiency of our carrier payment processes. The Freight Audit and Automation Intern supports the carrier audit and payment process by working within the Navix auditing system to ensure invoices and load documentation are accurately matched and processed. This role plays a key part in improving the efficiency of invoice verification and contributes to maintaining clean financial records for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Work through the duplicate invoice queue by identifying and removing duplicate documents and processing valid additional carrier invoices.
- Manage the unmatched invoice queue by gathering and entering Transportation Management System (TMS) data into Navix.
- Add order numbers to supporting documentation to ensure accurate load-to-document matching.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external carriers to resolve documentation issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital records within Navix.
Requirements
- Active enrollment in a degree program in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Previous internship or part-time work in an office environment is a plus.
- 0–1 years of relevant experience.
