About The Position

The Freight Associate at Scheels All Sports, Inc. is responsible for managing incoming freight, ensuring accurate inventory receipt, and maintaining an organized workspace. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 months of data entry experience
• Ability to apply concepts of basic math, grammar, punctuation, and spelling

Responsibilities

• Return excess merchandise
• Organize and prioritize incoming freight to efficiently and accurately receive inventory
• Examine shipments; reject damaged items, record shortages and overages, developing and executing claims
• Develop and execute claims on mis-ships and defective products
• Operate pallet jack to move shipments between platforms, storage and work areas
• Demonstrate strong communication skills
• Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead and develop a team
• Navigate a personal computer and handheld inventory computer/scanner, including Microsoft Office, Google Email/Docs, and AS400
• Maintain an orderly appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas
• Work assigned schedule, typically Monday through Friday, with potential evening or weekend hours
