Freezer Warehouse Coordinator
About The Position

The Freezer Warehouse Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy, organization, and flow of work-in-progress (WIP) materials within the cold storage areas. This position is responsible for ensuring that all WIP materials are properly handled, stored, and tracked through each stage of production. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in extreme freezer conditions while supporting efficient production and inventory control.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Experience safely operating a stand-up forklift.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- A commitment to teamwork and clear communication.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a freezer or cold storage facility.
- Familiarity with barcoding systems and Microsoft Excel/Outlook.
- A proactive attitude and pride in maintaining accuracy and safety.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a stand-up forklift (Raymond or Crown models preferred) in freezer environments.
- Maintain accurate WIP inventory counts using barcode scanners and production schedules.
- Store, organize, and rotate materials using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Coordinate with Packaging to inspect and track reusable totes, lids, and pallets.
- Remove old or damaged labels to ensure totes are ready for clean, safe use.
- Anticipate WIP storage needs based on production schedules.
- Generate and share daily/weekly WIP inventory reports with management.
- Communicate across departments and shifts to ensure materials are ready for production.
- Conduct daily forklift safety checks and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Follow all GMP, PPE, and safety guidelines while working in extreme freezer temperatures.
