About The Position

The Freezer Order Selector is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders in a freezer environment within a food distribution warehouse. This role requires working in sub-zero temperatures, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining high productivity and safety standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)
Previous warehouse or order selecting experience preferred (especially in freezer or cold storage environments)
Ability to operate warehouse equipment (training may be provided)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to read and understand order sheets or use electronic picking systems
Ability to work in extreme cold conditions for extended periods
Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50–70 lbs
Stand, walk, bend, and reach for long periods
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse or order selecting experience preferred (especially in freezer or cold storage environments)

Responsibilities

Accurately pick and assemble Hucks Market orders using RF scanners
Operate electric pallet jacks to transport products
Work in a freezer environment (typically 10°F to 0°F) while following safety procedures
Stack, wrap, and stage pallets for shipping
Ensure product quality and correct quantities are selected
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Follow all company safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards
Report damaged products, equipment issues, or discrepancies to supervisors
