About The Position

This position is responsible for keeping freezers maintained and using motor-powered equipment while working in an area with temperatures ranging from -10 to 34 degrees, and lifting, pushing or pulling up to 40 pounds. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided, which will include a freezer suit, gloves, and head wear, you will be trained and licensed as a professional forklift operator.

Requirements

  • Must have 6 months of continuous work history with single employer in last 12 months.
  • Prior Tyson workers must complete a 365-day rehire wait period before being considered for the role.
  • Prior Tyson workers will not be considered for the position after having work 3 times or more for Tyson Foods.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing.
  • ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules.
  • Assist Export Team in day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Sort and separate pallets Good / Bad, and place in appropriate areas.
  • Load and unload pallet trailers.
  • Sweep and/or vacuum dock.
  • Place all trash in compactor.
  • Report all damaged product to supervisor.
  • Place all condemned and/or exposed product to rework area.
  • Pick up and properly dispose of all debris on floors of dock and in cold storage freezer.
  • Clean and return equipment
  • Train on other jobs in facility.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Must be willing to work quickly and efficiently (8-11 hours per day).
  • Must be willing to tolerate continuous physical labor in a cold (-10 degrees F), humid environment (8-11 hours per day).
  • Must be willing to lift up to 50 pounds to stack pallets on a continual basis (8-11 hours per day).
  • Must be willing to perform proper lifting techniques, including continually bending at the knees to lift with the legs and pivoting to avoid twisting (8-11 hours per day).
