About The Position

The Freezer Lift Operator at Brown Foodservice is responsible for operating powered industrial equipment in a cooler/frozen warehouse environment to move, store, and prepare food products for delivery. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and strict compliance with food safety and company standards. You will be an essential part of our team that has been servicing customers and delivering fine foods since 1942.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Forklift certification or ability to obtain through the company
Prior warehouse or foodservice distribution experience preferred
Ability to work in extreme cold environments for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding role

Nice To Haves

Experience in food distribution or cold storage logistics
Familiarity with products such as frozen meats, dairy, and prepared foods
RF scanner and warehouse management system experience
Strong teamwork and reliability

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks in freezer conditions (-10°F to -20°F)
Maintain product integrity by following cold-chain and food safety standards
Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory and orders
Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections
Keep freezer areas clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards
Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
