Conagra Brands in Darien, WI a local supplier of Birds Eye products, is seeking qualified individuals to fill entry level openings in the production department for 3rd shift. Reporting to Production Supervisors, you will work on-site at one of Conagra's largest manufacturing facilities with over 800 employees.

Requirements

  • Must be able to efficiently operate mobile and stationary computer equipment as required to maintain inventory records.
  • Must be a trained and BEF certified lift truck operator.
  • Must be able to safely and efficiently operate all material handling equipment including lift truck, powered and manual pallet jack, pull pack attachment, clamp attachment and powered sweeper.
  • Must be knowledgeable of all battery room equipment and procedures.
  • Must understand and know how to operate trailer refrigeration units.
  • Must be knowledgeable and accurate in basic mathematics.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must be knowledgeable of all safety rules and procedures and be willing to follow them.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all duties.

Responsibilities

  • The Forklift Driver-Freezer is responsible for the movement of product associated with the operation of the distribution center, both in and out of the freezer environment, following BEF guidelines.
  • Maintain records on computer system or manually.
  • Loads/Unloads trucks, containers and rail cars.
  • Fills customer orders as required.
  • Sorts and handles empty pallets.
  • Transports pallets, fiber, and other supplies and materials as required.
  • Perform operational maintenance of vehicles including filling out of daily checklist.
  • Follow proper safety and operational procedures in the handling of all products and the operation of all equipment.
  • Changes battery in material handling equipment and follows proper battery room procedures.
  • Attend and participate in training classes.
  • Assist in all housekeeping functions in order to maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Performs other duties assigned by Management.
