About The Position
At Sam's Club, our fresh food associates are integral to providing an exceptional shopping experience for our members. As a member of the freezer, cooler, and deli team, you will not only be responsible for stocking shelves but also for maintaining the operational and sanitary conditions of our freezers and coolers. This role places you on the front lines of customer service, where your friendly demeanor can significantly enhance the shopping experience. You will be part of a team dedicated to offering customers more of what they love, at a price they can afford. In this position, you will ensure that high-quality products are readily available for our members. This includes maintaining cleanliness in the freezer, cooler, and deli areas, verifying expiration dates, and properly disposing of any lesser-quality food products. You will also be responsible for packing ready-to-sell products in appropriate containers and stocking displays to ensure a visually appealing shopping environment. Your role is crucial in maintaining a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area, which is essential for customer satisfaction and safety. The responsibilities of this position extend beyond stocking and cleaning. You will be expected to follow all safety standards and procedures, including conducting safety sweeps and properly handling hazardous materials. You will also maintain the sales floor and merchandise presentation in accordance with company policies, which involves handling claims and returns, zoning the area, and completing required audits and documentation. Providing excellent member service is a key aspect of this role, as you will be expected to acknowledge members, assist with their needs, and resolve any issues that may arise.
