Responsible for monitoring and maintaining freeze tunnel operating conditions. Will also be responsible for basic sanitation clean up and equipment in the tunnel and/or processing.

Requirements

  • Ability to visually monitor, navigate, and read operating screens.
  • Follow all Safety procedures.
  • Excellent communications skills, bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a frozen food facility with pea, corn, carrot and potato equipment a plus

Responsibilities

  • Monitor equipment conditions and involve maintenance and sanitation as needed.
  • Communicate with the Tunnel Operator, Production Lead and Production Team Leader to resolve issues.
  • Pre-inspection of tunnels at shift start and during shift.
  • Prepare operations and equipment for defrost, startup and shutdown.
  • Wash coils, chains, catwalks, walls and floors after defrosting.
  • Proactively watch tunnels and monitor coils, fans, and water levels identifying and reporting potential issues.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in tunnels and processing area.
  • Adhere to safety, quality and sanitation regulations.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Other tasks as assigned by process operator, Production Lead and/or Production Team Leader.
