About The Position

About the Role Picture your day starting on the production floor, walking past humming lyophilizers and utility systems. You review your work plan, check spare parts levels, and confirm that every task aligns with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, job plans, and our corporate policies. By the end of the work period, your areas are tidy and compliant—housekeeping done, tools accounted for. A Day in the Life Begin by surveying assigned lyophilization and supporting systems, validating that spare parts inventories are up to date for the equipment in your care. Move into hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting—pinpointing issues, performing detailed failure analysis, and driving toward true root causes. Revise and refine SOPs and work/job plans as you uncover better ways to maintain reliability and performance. Partner with cross-functional improvement teams focused on system performance and uptime, contributing your technical perspective. Coordinate with outside contractors as needed to support projects or supplement the workforce. Demonstrate HSE awareness, apply Lean principles, and follow Athens Site policies and procedures in everything you do. Wrap up with thorough housekeeping of all work areas at the end of the shift and take on additional duties and projects that fit the scope of the role. How You Grow You'll help shape a structured, individualized training plan that deepens your knowledge of equipment operations and maintenance disciplines across the plant, expanding into other areas as needed.
