About The Position

A high-performing Freestanding Emergency Department in North Central Florida is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses (FSED RNs) to join a fast-paced, patient-focused team. This role supports a 12-bed freestanding emergency department , providing care for patients ranging from minor injuries to acute and critical emergencies. The ideal candidate is adaptable, clinically confident, and thrives in an autonomous emergency care environment.

Requirements

  • Active Florida RN license or multistate compact RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience
  • Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, or Emergency Department experience accepted
  • BLS (AHA) within 30 days of start
  • ACLS (AHA) within 90 days of start
  • PALS within 90 days
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 6 months
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or TNCC Instructor within 6 months
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Triage, assess, and treat emergency patients of all ages
  • Deliver rapid, high-quality nursing care for a wide range of emergency conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient acuity
  • Manage multiple patients simultaneously while continuously prioritizing care needs
  • Coordinate care with physicians, EMS, and hospital-based departments
  • Provide discharge instructions, follow-up education, and referrals as appropriate
  • Maintain patient safety, privacy, and documentation standards at all times
  • Respond effectively to changing conditions and emergency situations
