Freelance Show Editor - World Cup
About The Position
FOX Sports is looking for a Freelance Show Editor to support real-time digital show coverage during the FIFA World Cup. The Freelance Show Editor will work closely with our video team to create instant replays and fast-turnaround video content for the Live show during one of the biggest global sporting events in the world. This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role built for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, has strong social media instincts, and is comfortable working nontraditional hours. Flexibility and reliability are essential. Hours will vary significantly due to the FIFA World Cup schedule.
Requirements
- Experience editing video in Adobe Premiere
- Deep understanding of social media platforms and what performs well on each
- Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality or editorial judgment
- Comfortable taking direction, feedback, and adjusting on the fly
- Thrives in fast-paced, live-event environments
- Strong taste and instincts for what works on social
- Calm under pressure and comfortable with real-time decision-making
- Passionate about soccer and global sports culture
Nice To Haves
- Experience with After Effects
- Photoshop experience
- Strong soccer knowledge and familiarity with the global game
Responsibilities
- Deliver video packages such as replays, player comps, and more
- Edit and package content quickly for platforms including TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube Shorts, and other social channels
- Experiment with new formats and tools, including emerging AI-assisted video workflows
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
