About The Position
Visit.org is seeking an experienced, responsible, and driven Freelance Event Specialist to manage the logistics of an upcoming in-person event. This role is crucial for ensuring a memorable and impactful experience for our corporate clients. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for live events, and the energy and discipline necessary to execute our mission effectively. Visit.org specializes in helping companies discover and book social impact team experiences that benefit local nonprofits. With a proprietary library of experiences across over 90 countries, we provide HR, DEI, CSR, and Meetings & Events leaders with scalable, culturally appropriate content for purpose-driven engagement. Our clientele includes notable companies such as Colgate, Paramount, Visa, Ancestry, and Tommy Bahama. As a Freelance Event Specialist, you will be the on-site coordinator responsible for the day-of execution of events. Our team will support you by coordinating all event details, shipping materials, and arranging staffing. Your role will involve joining virtual planning meetings with corporate partners, nonprofit partners, and Visit.org event coordinators to ensure all parties are aligned. On the day of the event, you will take ownership of the logistics, including setting up, aligning with the on-site team, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. You will also manage the check-in process, problem-solve any issues that arise, and provide consistent updates to the Events Team throughout the event. After the event, you will assist with breakdown and repackaging of materials for return to the distribution center.
