The Port Orchard Freestanding ED is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at our state-of-the-art free-standing emergency room. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing., upon hire
- Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years or
- Critical care experience, current within the last 2 years
- Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 60 Days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 12 - months of hire
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, within 12 - months of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 12 - months of hire
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors Of Nursing and One year of related work experience in an acute care setting, upon hire and
- Certified Emergency Nurse, upon hire
Responsibilities
- Adheres to the department’s and hospital’s policies and procedures, including safety, risk management and regulatory standards.
- Keeps abreast of trends, developments and regulatory requirements impacting matters within designated scope of responsibility.
- Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications (e.g., topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy.
- Assesses patient to include physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs.
- Gathers data relevant for patient care.
- Implements appropriate patient interventions and evaluates outcomes.
