The objective of this role is to maximize sales and profit by collaborating with the planning team to develop effective merchandise plans for one or more departments that align with the company's goals for sales, turn, and margin.

Responsibilities

• Working with senior planner or planner to ensure the success of one or more departments by meeting or exceeding sales, gross margin, and inventory turn
• Planning and owning a product class
• Partnering with the merchants to monitor and evaluate sales on current styles on a weekly basis
• Partnering with the buyer and planning manager to effectively manage receipts and inventory
• Maximizing opportunities through key item programs
• Independently running and distributing weekly and month end (attribute and store count) reports
• Ensuring the accuracy of all reporting
• Understanding financial measurements and applying retail math to identify business drivers
• Assisting planner in preparation for OTB and Buy meetings
• Ad hoc reporting
