About The Position

Summit City Nursing and Rehab is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training program. This program is designed for individuals with a caring spirit who want to turn that into a career. Classes will be held from October 20th to 31st in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The ASC Nurse Aide Training Program requires no previous experience, only a commitment to providing compassionate care to residents. With free classroom and hands-on training, participants can become a CNA in just a few weeks. After completing the training program and passing the necessary tests, graduates can find employment in any of ASC's 100 locations across Indiana, with additional opportunities for career advancement in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks such as hair care, brushing teeth, and shaving.
• Helping residents at mealtimes, including transporting them to the dining room and assisting them with eating and drinking.
• Repositioning and transferring residents from a bed to a wheelchair or from a wheelchair to the toilet.
• Obtaining resident vital signs, such as heart rate and blood pressure, and recording observations.
• Answering patient call lights and assisting in fulfilling requests.
• Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing not only care but companionship.
