About The Position

Betz Nursing Home is offering a free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program designed for individuals who are committed to providing compassionate care to residents. The training will take place from October 20th to 31st in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This program requires no previous experience and provides both classroom and hands-on training, allowing participants to become CNAs in just a few weeks. After completing the training and passing the state testing, graduates can find employment in any of ASC's 100 locations across Indiana, with opportunities for career advancement in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
• Helping residents during mealtimes, including transporting them to the dining room and assisting with eating and drinking.
• Repositioning and transferring residents between beds, wheelchairs, and toilets.
• Obtaining and recording resident vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure.
• Answering patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
• Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing care and companionship.
