About The Position

Lake Pointe Village is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training program designed for individuals who wish to turn their caring spirit into a rewarding career. The classes will be held from October 13th to October 24th in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This program is an excellent opportunity for those with no previous experience, as it requires only a commitment to providing compassionate care to residents. With free classroom and hands-on training, participants can become a CNA in just a few weeks. Upon completion of the training program and testing, graduates can find employment in any of ASC's 100 locations across Indiana, with additional pathways available for those looking to advance their nursing careers.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
• Helping residents during mealtimes, including transporting them to the dining room and assisting with eating and drinking.
• Repositioning and transferring residents between beds, wheelchairs, and toilets.
• Obtaining and recording resident vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure.
• Answering patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
• Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing care and companionship.
