About The Position

Join our dynamic corporate based legal team with Express Employment International as a Franchise Administration and Compliance Support Specialist, where you’ll help protect the brand and fuel expansion across the U.S. and Canada. Reporting to the Director of Franchise Administration and Compliance, you’ll handle administrative tasks related to the preparation and maintenance of franchise agreements, Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs), and compliance materials—ensuring we stay fully compliant with federal, state, and provincial regulations. You’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Franchise Administration and Compliance, the Franchising team and Zone Vice Presidents. You’ll also interact with Developers, franchisees, prospects, in-house teams, and external partners to resolve franchise-related compliance issues If you’re a detail-oriented communicator with strong admin and tech skills (Excel, databases, franchise tools), knowledge of the franchisor/franchisee model, and a customer-service mindset, this role offers real impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position sits within our Oklahoma City based corporate office, currently with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business administration, legal studies, or a closely related field required. A combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • 3 - 5 years’ of legal experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and confidently with franchise prospects, current franchisees, executives, attorneys, and other stakeholders via phone, email, and written correspondence
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, including the proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with strict time constraints
  • Strong ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Customer service-oriented mindset, with demonstrated phone etiquette, empathy, persistence, and a focus on delivering responsive, professional support to internal and external parties
  • General knowledge of accounting functions
  • Proficiency in technology and software applications, including use of Microsoft Excel , database management systems, and document management tools.
  • General understanding of the franchisor/franchisee business model, including key concepts such as franchise agreements and Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to support accurate document preparation, data review, compliance investigations, and issue resolution
  • Adaptability and problem-solving orientation to handle compliance inquiries, territory disputes, or regulatory changes effectively

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Franchise Administration & Compliance team, including processing territory agreements, employment agreements, legal resale reviews, territory disclosures, and related correspondence; generate reports; maintain electronic files; and ensure adherence to document retention policies and procedures
  • Prepare and ensure accuracy of franchise agreements and supporting documents for various transactions, including new franchises, transfers (resales), renewals, cancellations, terminations, amendments, and letters of agreement
  • Prepare Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) and associated materials for delivery to prospective franchise candidates in compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Review and analyze territory and sales data using proprietary software, mapping tools, and demographic technologies; prepare reports and insights to support decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation, updating, completion, and submission of Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) for state registrations/approvals, ensuring ongoing compliance with FTC Franchise Rule and all applicable federal and state disclosure regulations
  • Support quarterly analysis of franchisee compliance with required minimum performance standards, operational obligations, and other contractual requirements
  • Assist in investigating and resolving compliance complaints or violations reported by franchisees or stakeholders, including territory infringement issues; document findings and recommend corrective actions as needed
  • Monitor and stay current on franchising laws, regulations (including FTC guidelines), state registration requirements, and industry best practices; communicate relevant updates and changes to internal stakeholders
  • Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned to support franchise administration and compliance objectives
