The Framing Estimator will play a critical role in the estimating process for framing projects, preparing accurate and competitive bids. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can analyze project plans and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure projects are priced correctly from the start. The role is essential for supporting project managers and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine material and labor needs for framing projects.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using OnScreen Takeoff and PlanSwift.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates using Timberline and Bluebeam to ensure competitive bids.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing info and clarify project requirements.
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies between actual costs and estimates.
  • Assist in contract negotiations and ensure all project budgets align with the original estimates.
  • Stay current with market trends, material costs, labor rates, and new framing techniques to improve the estimating process.
  • Ensure estimates align with United Production Framing's standards and exceed client expectations.
  • 2+ years of estimating experience in construction, framing, or related fields.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Timberline, and OnScreen Takeoff preferred (but training is available).
  • Strong understanding of framing methods, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost analysis and takeoffs.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex numbers and ideas clearly to both the team and clients.
  • Problem-solving skills to efficiently address discrepancies.
  • A degree or certification in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
