About The Position

Founded by Amherst, the full-service real estate solutions platform, Amherst StudioBuilt™ homes is an innovative approach to home development that utilizes offsite construction to create new housing supply at scale without sacrificing quality. StudioBuilt homes are constructed at Amherst’s housing studio in Cuero, Texas as well as partner studios across the Southeast and then installed on site. At full capacity, the Cuero facility will create over 250 manufacturing jobs, making Amherst the third largest employer in the area. The StudioBuilt team is comprised of experienced individuals from all trades, working to continuously improve the production process. The job entails traveling to surrounding cities in an equipped and stocked company truck for the purpose of delivering and obtaining materials as specified. This role may also support material handler/warehousing duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have a "clean" MVR with valid state issued DL
  • Must be able to pass required background screening for purpose of operating company owned and rented equipment as needed
  • Self-motivated and driven for results with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and continually strive for improvement
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Frequent travel and overnight stays as needed
  • Safe driving record
  • Ability to operate forklift/pallet jack/hand truck
  • Ability to lift, bend, maneuver ,secure materials/items for transport; including but not limited to construction materials, parts, equipment, household appliances
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal skills) and maintain a professional level of interaction as a representative of the company to deliver accurate information.

Nice To Haves

  • 7-10 years of experience as a safe driver w/ ability to navigate to and from specified locations
  • Knowledge of and commitment to safety standards
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime on a regular basis & stay overnight

Responsibilities

  • Traveling to surrounding cities in an equipped and stocked company truck for the purpose of delivering and obtaining materials as specified.
  • Maintain company vehicle, which includes keeping vehicle clean, stocked and serviced regularly as well as compliance with the applicable company policies, procedures and insurance requirements.
  • Support material handler/warehousing duties as needed.
