About The Position

Overview: Successfully migrate a pre-identified assortment of fragrances to a new candle manufacturer. Assign quality and performance benchmarks, informed by the existing control, and ensure the success of execution through metrics such as, but not limited to, evaluation. Tasks will include vendor coordination and communication, home fragrance evaluation, data management and accomplishing the project based on pre-determined timing & action deadlines Hours: Up to 40 hrs per week (will flex) Overall Tasks: • Provide support to Fragrance Designer to execute new fragrance development, including outlining challenges and opportunities for improvement to • Sourcing and Tech to ensure development meets milestone deadlines • Assist in sampling requests • Help conduct gap analysis, brief fragrance suppliers, and participate in olfactive evaluation and selection for OB fragrance development • Facilitate legal review of product names and finalize fragrance descriptions for online, packaging and photography needs • Research and investigate inspiring cross-category products at onset of each development cycle • Provide technical support on fragrance and base integration • Provide expert fragrance evaluation support to guide Fill Vendors and Fragrance House partners • Maintain and expand the proprietary fragrance library for both active and proactive development • Support Tech in data management and integrity: manage accuracy of fragrance information database (smartsheet), program summaries, and records of regulatory and compliance documentation

Requirements

  • Product Development for home fragrance formats (candles, liquid reed diffusers, scented filler etc)
  • Olfactive Evaluation (character & strength)
  • Adaptive
  • Self-sufficient and highly motivated
  • Experience in sensory science or olfactive evaluation
  • Research, Testing, and Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
