About The Position

The FR Y-14A Senior Analyst will oversee the transformation of the annual FR Y-14A regulatory reports required by the Federal Reserve Board. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, enhancing data submission accuracy, and providing detailed analysis of capital planning and stress-testing results. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of banking regulations and experience with large financial institutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; Master's degree, CPA, or relevant certifications is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in regulatory reporting, financial analysis, capital planning, or stress testing in a large financial institution.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to FR Y-14A, CCAR, and Dodd-Frank Act Stress Tests.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data management, financial modeling, and forecasting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced skills in data analysis and automation.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex data and regulatory concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues in financial and regulatory data.
  • Good understanding of the CCAR process from end-to-end.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with regulatory reporting tools and systems (e.g., Axiom, Workiva).
  • Experience with data governance, risk management, and control frameworks in financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with financial risk management, including credit, market, and operational risk.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement the 14A transformation program to improve existing processes, data flows, and quality for timely and accurate submissions.
  • Design and implement 14A processes and tools, including requirements development.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Reserve reporting guidelines and stay updated on regulatory changes.
  • Provide insights and analysis on capital planning, stress-testing results, and forecasting, focusing on variance identification and trend analysis.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance reporting quality and efficiency, including control process design.
  • Assist in documenting 14A desktop procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and analyze data inputs for regulatory submissions.
  • Work with Treasury to develop Capital Plan Exhibits.
  • Document business requirements utilizing Axiom for 14A filing.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and trends impacting reporting requirements and track necessary process changes.
  • Develop methodology mapping or lineage for model data mapping to 14A schedules and non-model data sourcing.
  • Maintain documentation related to procedures, controls, and governance processes for FR Y-14A reporting.
  • Coordinate with the 2nd line of defense, Internal Audit, and external examiners regarding inquiries and reviews related to FR Y-14A processes.
