About The Position

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, provides direction and consultation of operational, financial, and administrative functions to the FPI clinical practices in collaboration with department leadership. Develops and implements strategies and policies to accomplish sustained profitable growth of University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc. (FPI) practices. Provides direction and leadership to ensure that FPI practices achieve sustained high-quality outcomes within an efficient cost structure while ensuring a positive patient experience and access to care. Works in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Patient Access to ensure patient access to care within the FPI practices is optimized and that revenue cycle meets/exceeds service and performance goals. Focuses on the achievement of long-term business growth, the development and dissemination of best practices, and the cultivation of high-performance effective work teams. Responsible for the direction and leadership of operations, financial, programmatic, and human resources related activities to ensure fiscal integrity and patient satisfaction of satellite practice facilities for FPI. Ensures standardization of all processes and procedures, resource management, practice business development, daily operational efficiency and effectiveness, and regulatory compliance programs in the practices; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Finance, Administration, Business or a related field required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated record of leadership ability and accomplishment.
  • Academic medical center management experience in ambulatory care services required.
  • Successful experience in effecting operating efficiencies in an ambulatory care environment.
