QDSS is seeking one FPGA Verification Engineer to support OTT verification for an update program replacing two obsolete FPGAs on a Digital Control Unit. You will design and implement test fixtures, test tools, and simulations utilized in the development and verification of the system. Requirements

  • Has working knowledge of digital systems, and components, FPGA design methodologies, testing, debugging, root causing and testing methodologies
  • Experience in design verification and validation
  • Familiar with DAL-A verification methodologies
  • Experience with coding conventions, unit testing and integration testing of PLD/FPGA's.
  • Developing DO-254 related documents including but not limited to requirements, design description, and tracing
  • Xilinx Vivado Design Suite
  • Ability to Construct FPGA Test Bench using UVM Components.
  • Sequence Development
  • Develop UVM Predictors and Scoreboards to Implement Self-Checking Simulation Tests.
  • Proficiency in developing UVM Agents, Drivers, Monitors, and Sequence Items.
  • Proficiency in writing functional coverage and assertions.
  • I/O Timing Analysis
  • Must be self-motivated and have initiative
  • Requires technical problem solving, strong design skills, and communication skills
  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

  • Primary focus on FPGA planning, requirements development, design/coding, simulation, integration and testing
  • Preparing design and test specifications, developing test hardware/software, executing informal and formal test campaigns
  • Own or support PCB board-level designs including schematics, layout, part selection, and documentation
  • Performing Code Reviews and verifications of Design Specifications and Reports
  • Support board bring-up and lab integration testing activities
  • Collaborate closely with systems and software teams to ensure electrical design meets overall system requirements
